Q. How long has First Choice Cards been established?
A. First Choice Cards Limited was established in 1995 and is now in its 13th year of trading.

Q. How many franchisees do you have?
A. We currently have 70 franchisees covering over 80 franchise territories (some franchisees operate more than one franchise area).

Q. Can I speak to established franchisees prior to joining?
A. Yes, we encourage this. Once we have met you, we will be happy to put you in contact with as many franchisees as you wish. We can even arrange for you to spend a day with a local franchisee, so you get a good look at the business before you join!

Q. What training will I get?
A. Although the franchise is relatively simple to run, we provide initial and ongoing training covering all aspects of the business. Training is tailored to suit the individual franchisee and takes into account their previous work or business experience. Please note - all training costs are covered in your franchise fee.

Q. Are there any ongoing franchise costs?
A. No. We make our money from the sale of cards and gift-wrap not by charging management fees or royalties

Q. Can I run this business on a part-time basis
A. Yes. There is room for everyone in First Choice and many of our franchisees are part-time.

Q. Will my franchise area be exclusive?
A. Yes. Your contract guarantees that only you can supply outlets in you area with First Choice products and services.

Q. Do I have to register for VAT?
A. Yes, but don't worry if you've never dealt with VAT before, it's very easy to do and you are able to claim back the VAT on your business expenses.

Q. Do you offer favourable trading terms to your franchisees.
A. Yes. All card stock is supplied on credit. Many franchisees are also able to benefit from our “volume discount” scheme.

Q. Can I sell the franchise?
A. Yes, the franchise can be sold on and although First Choice are sorry to loose any member of the franchise network we will help you to sell the business if requested.
